An everyday activity such as ‘travelling actively’ is an effective way to improve your health. It can help boost energy, fitness, and wellbeing, and can offer fun, social time with family and friends. You could also save time, money and help the environment at the same time!
Or, plan your cycling journeys through the Transport for London Cycle Planner
Living in south-east London we’re fortunate to have the Green Chain on our doorstep. Try the walking or cycling parts of the Green Chain – there are parks with playgrounds, loads of space for bikes and skateboards, café’s with brilliant views and woods full of wonderful wildlife.
For maps and other useful information visit the Green Chain website.
(Please note that cycling is only allowed in certain sections of the Green Chain)
A fantastic series of health walks is available for you to join. They are all detailed in this leaflet.

If you’d like to take part, all you have to do is come along a few minutes early to the start point of one of our walks listed in the leaflet , so that one of our trained volunteer walk leaders can take your details. Then you’re free to take part in as many walks as you like, as often as you like. Find a walk near you.
If you like walking and socialising and have as little as an hour a week to spare why not become a Volunteer Walk Leader?
